Hello Folks, Still need volunteers tomorrow 9am to ? Turkey day 9am to ?... 2nd day of volunteering at The Salvation Army.. Long one indeed today .. I can't say thanks enough to all the donations & volunteers that make this happen every Year.. I feel so blessed & thankfully to be part of this caring & heart filled bunch of people.. Thanks again.. List of things that been cooked & prepared for turkey day.. 55 xl whole Roasted Turkeys ( BIG BIRDS )hand pulled. 50lbs Carrots 65 - 75lbs of onion 55lbs celery 75 to 85ish lbs of fresh Squash that was hand prepared and Roasted. 95ish lbs of freshly prepared Bread for staffing 80 to 90 gallons of Turkey stock made from the bone of all them turkeys & veggies.. To be used for Gravy, Stuffing, stock to reheat all that turkey meat.. on Turkey Day. TOMORROW Prep list.. 400lbs Cut Potatoes for Mash, Sautéed all that onoins, celery, carrots. Make Stuffing Hand Portion cranberry Sauce Slices alot pies.. We deliver around 500 meals on average most years, plus feeded a extra 250 to 300 sit down dinner. That is most years this year only time will tell this year.. Pickup Dinner Only will replace this year Sit Down Dinner.. To help give a Thanksgiving Dinner to who may need them. I give thanks for that plus I love cooking and to help give back where and when I can.. Well hello folks what a strange trip it been the last couple of day's .. Everyone has the Right to think what they want.. On how and why this Happened to Route 20 Grill & Tap... But I assure you all this is not the end of Route 20 and it Crew. It will be on going process and on going heart ache .. until we rebuild and reopen. What does make it Easier is the on going Love and Support of my Route 20 crew ( Family ) but must of the Love and Support of our customers & friends ...that make Route 20 Grill & Tap what is. Never been here, not usually out Auburn way, but I stopped today and it was amazing. The Bacon Blue Burger was phenomenal,the staff were super friendly, and th...e atmosphere was great. Highly recommend to anyone in the area. I also want to do a shout-out/thank you to the owner or whoever set up the Fallen Soldier Table right out front. That is pretty awesome and really is appreciated.
