Madison is available for adoption! Madison (Maddie) is the tiniest one of the pack. She is absolutely gorgeous and her coat is the shiniest black compared to the siblings. She is probably the most independent in the fact that she doesn’t demand as much attention as the others. If there is no room on the couch she is happy to go lay some where else. If they are all jumping on someone she will hang back and wait for her turn. That does not mean she doesn’t love her family b...ecause her little eyes light up when they come in the room. Tally is available for adoption! Tallassee (Tally) is the bigger girl and the most cuddly. If you want a furry ball of sweetness this is your girl! Tally is the best of both worlds as she can be rough and tumble with her litter mates and sweet as pie with her people. Like the others she is very intelligent and extremely loyal! She is one of the first to approach new people and is always the first to get in her foster moms lap. Decatur is available for adoption! Decator- (started out as Cator for short but quickly turned to Gator due to his sharp puppy teeth) is the dominant one of the pack. Gator is the leader, he is strong willed and an independent thinker. When it’s time to go outside we will have 6 puppies turn right to the door and Gator will make a hard left! Gator is very intelligent! He not only figured out the doggy door first - he learned how to hold it open for the others so they c...ould come out and play with him! Gator loves other dogs and people. He is the most energetic and is always up for some fun! Gator gets bored easily and would not be happy sitting home alone all day. He needs an active family to challenge him both mentally and physically! Cully is available for adoption! This is Cullman (Cully for short)! I promise he is not as sad as he looks in his pictures but he does look pretty pitiful I admit. Lol Cully is a little different then the others from his coloring to his coat. His fur is longer and he is our only brindle boy. He is a fun pup with other dogs, very loving and very submissive. He loves people but is shy at first. Sometimes he will submissive pee if he is nervous or when he meets someone ne...w. We hope as he gets older and more confident he will likely grow out of that. He is usually not the first one in his foster moms lap but he definitely stays the longest. He just loves to be loved! Since he is so shy Cully will benefit from a family that will be dedicated to keeping him socialized with other people and animals. Formal training will help with confidence and building the bond between you. Compared to the others he is one of the quieter ones but he will give a good howl if he is unhappy or has to go to the bathroom overnight. Cully is a sweet boy and a foster favorite due to his good nature and eagerness to please. Birmingham is Available for adoption! Birmingham (Hammi) is very sweet and eager to please. He looks like the phantom with his black and white face. He is absolutely gorgeous! Lily is available for adoption! Lily is a true people dog-- she doesn’t seem to mind other respectful animals, but she will always choose her people first and isn’t very interested in playtime. She’ll follow you around the house and wait for you to sit down-- once you do, she’s in your lap for good and won’t move until you do. She’s like velcro! She’ll show her unwavering love for you by giving you kisses wherever she can reach. Lily is a very happy dog and will wag her tail ...when she gets any attention or when it’s time to go to bed-- her favorite time of day. She loves to sleep under the covers with her foster mom and won’t move all night long. Lily would thrive in a quiet household where her people are home most of the time and she’ll always have a lap to sit on. Lily does have a bit of separation anxiety when her favorite person isn’t around, but she’ll usually just whine until they come back. Sometimes, if another animal is in her space, she will show her teeth and make some noise to let them know what her boundaries are, but once they back off she’s back to being a happy-go-lucky girl again. Lily will probably do better with a fenced in yard (even if it’s small) because she’s not fully leash trained yet-- though she is a quick learner. She doesn’t really like to walk or exercise much, but she will begrudgingly follow you if you coax her. Warren Is available for adoption! He is a perfect little gent. He appears house broken, but except accidents at first while adjusting to a new routine. He is good with other dogs and crate trained, but honestly, he does not spend much time in the crate. He has been left alone for up to 6 hours without any accidents. He will also sleep well through the night. Even after a full 8 hours of sleep, Warren needs to be woken up to go outside. He does have a fenced yard in his fost...er home and is quick to do his business in the colder weather. In typical chihuahua fashion, he is often found cuddled under the blankets in his mamas lap. When we had his dental completed, all of his remaining teeth were removed. So he truly is a toothless wonder. That tongue of his is always hanging out a little. A major surgery like that can often cause a dog to be laid up for a few days. Not our sweet Warren though! With the remaining teeth removed, he feels great! He is now eating like a champ and has put on some weight. He looks and feels great. He definitely makes his foster family laugh at times. He loves to roll on the couch and make his nest. He is full of love and kisses. Matilda is available for adoption! Matilda is a happy girl that loves people! She has been through a lot before arriving in NY! Tilly found herself in a shelter and was heartworm positive. She has since completed her heartworm treatment but will need to remain on monthly heartworm preventative for the rest of her life. The cost is about $100 or so a year. Tilly is starting to enjoy the cold weather here in Buffalo. All that snow was a shock to her! She is a friendly a...nd polite little dog. Tilly is crate and leash trained. She is doing really well on housetraining but please expect some adjustment time and accidents as she learns a new home and routine. Tilly is good with other dogs and likes to share a bed with them. She will occasionally try to play but then decides the warm bed is more her style. She does need daily exercise and playtime as poodles are typically active dogs. Tilly loves when it's time to eat! She gets so excited when it's time for a treat too. Tilly does not mind the cats in her foster home. Kids should be fine as long as they are respectful to dogs. Tilly requires regular grooming so please take that into consideration. Honey is available for adoption! Honey is an active, fun loving little dog. She loves to be outside and loves running and chasing other dogs. She has a fully fenced yard in her foster home so that is a bonus. She is working on her leash skills and they are coming along. Honey is doing well on her housetraining too but we always say there will be an adjustment period for the dog. She will also use pee pads that are left out for other dogs. Honey is also crate trained - ...the door is always open for her and she is often found napping inside! Honey likes other dogs, she can be a little rough though so nothing too little in her new home. She initially barked and chased the cats in her foster home but after some work, that has settled down. We think there will be another adjustment period for her with this too if there are cats in her new home. Honey can be shy with strangers initially but with a little time and cheese, warms right up. She has a big bark when people come into her home too. She likes a good ear scratch and belly rub too! He is fun, playful and so loving! He is wonderful on a leash, completely crate trained and is an expert toy squeaker! He does need to be the king of his domain (only animal home) as he doesn’t... really know how to play well with others. He is NOT aggressive, he is defensive with other dogs. Due to overwhelming response Lucy is no longer accepting applications Lucy is a typical shih tzu. She is full of love and happiness. All she wants to do is be anywhere her family is. She doesn’t care if they are cooking dinner, or taking a car ride, or watching TV Lucy just wants to be there. She loves to be perched on the couch right next to her people. At night she is usually sleeping on her foster mothers pillow, or up against her in some way. Lucy loves everyone she meets. She has to greet everyone with a helicopter tail that never stops going in circles; she’s just so happy. Our little polka dotted girl Ava Layne is available for adoption! Ava is great with dogs of all sizes. She is playful and sweet to them. She runs with the shepherd in her foster home and they wrestle and play with no problem. She does not bother the cat except maybe a bark here and there but otherwise they basically ignore each other. She is quiet in the car. She is not leash trained and requires a secure fenced yard. We see potential in Ava for her to be a fun little dog. She is curious and adventurous and we feel she will just thrive with the right family to love her! Update 11/05/2020! Today is surgery day for our boy Carlisle! Please send him some good vibes today in hopes they can save the leg! Once healed and medically cleared this cutie will be available for adoption! Stay tuned! Update 10/20/20: ... He went for his initial consultation and pre-surgical bloodwork today. All looks good and he is scheduled for 11/05/20. Our estimate is about $2500.00 for the surgery alone. We have quite a bit left to reach our goal. Thank you to everyone who has donated this far! Original Post: Attention graphic photos (sorry) We have another small dog in need! This dog is LOCAL! You guys came through big time on Jax and we are hoping for the same for Carlisle! So today is FIVE DOLLAR FRIDAY but of course no amount is to small! Carlisle is Approx 9yrs old and was found as a stray! He was extremely matted on arrival. Received emergency groom where they found a hair tourniquet around the rear right leg with maggots. He cannot fully extend the leg, and has some degeneration of the femoral head and also a fracture. Will likely need FHO surgery. We know from having multiple dogs needing the Surgery it is at least 3 thousand dollars! Thankfully Carlisle belongs to a great community who always rallies together to help the dogs in need! We are confident you all will come through again! He is the sweetest dog and at 9 years old he deserves better then this! Cesar is available for adoption! He is a love bug but does require a special kind of home! He loves to snuggle up in bed at night with his foster mom. Cesar is really shy at first and it’s important to approach him slowly when you first meet him and while he’s getting to know you. Once he trusts you, he will be your most faithful friend. He loves belly rubs, playing fetch, cuddling, being carried, and more belly rubs. Cesar has been walking well on a leash using a harness a...nd he loves going for walks and rides.
