Plainville is getting lined up for the Jordan Memorial Day Parade. Chief Jeff Proper, Car 3 Billy Crowder, Lieutenant Rob Kick and Firefighter Andrew Rice.

Although there wasn't a battery fire with this particular electric car accident, the department said in a Facebook post that there are "unique" challenges for crews operating at the scene such as the "batteries that catch fire may require 10-fold or more times the water typically required to extinguish a residential fire."
