We are horrified at the acts of terror aimed at Asian women workers in Atlanta on March 16, and we recognize that systemic oppressions due to gender, class, and... immigration status played a significant role in how these victims were targeted. Specifically, the racialized misogyny, objectification, and fetishization of Asian and Asian American women bears disturbing responsibility. The victims of these murders had full lives and dreams.
