PLH Farm

We have made plans to bring Hallgerdr (Hallie) and her mother Cassandra (Cassie) to Icetoberfest this year. Very excited to meet a lot of other Icies and spend a weekend socializing. We are hoping to get some feedback on Hallie's prospects for breeding, and meet some potential stud matches. Her next heat is expected in January... Stay tuned!

One week at Farmer's Market, we bought what was supposed to be tripe as part of the raw-feeding diet for the dogs, but it turned out to be organ fat from the bison (which are otherwise very lean). Not to let anything go to waste, Aldan researched uses for the fat, learned how to render the tallow (heating in the solar oven to liquify, strain out the impurities and therefore the odor), and combined it with beewax, cocoa butter, and shea butter to make castable lotion material. Poured into nonstick mini-cake molds, she has made lotion bars that smell good enough to eat!

Here's a few seconds of 4-yo Cassandra tussling on the bed with 6-month Hallgerdr. Hallie is up to 24 pounds, & started her first heat April 9th. Cassie is still carrying some puppy weight, at ~29.5 lbs.
