Important Long Beach Bridge Repair Notice: Nassau County DPW contractors are scheduled to begin work on the Long Beach Bridge on Monday, December 14, 2020. The... work will take place in three phases. During the first phase one lane will be closed daily to allow for structural steel repairs under the bridge. Due to this rise, you may see our EMS staff at alarms dressed in full gowns, with masks and gloves. Please do not be alarmed and its not indicative of anything specific if you see us at a neighbors house dressed like that. Out of an abundance of caution we will don our P.P.E. and treat most calls the same. In addition we will likely ask all patients to wear a mask regardless of why we are there, this is to maintain as much safety as possible. If you're medically able, our E.M.T. may ask you to meet us at the door to avoid unnecessary exposure. We want to keep our members safe as much as our patients. Also many hospitals are not allowing visitors and you should be prepared to have to wait to hear from your loved ones. We have no control over this policy. Below is what you may see and shouldn't alarm you. Continue to be safe!

The family-friendly festival kicks off TOMORROW, December 4th, with a showing of "It's a Wonderful Life" at 5pm. This program is free for all Town of Hempstead residents, and guests will be admitted on a first come, first served basis. Drive-in movie attendees are asked to adhere to social distancing and public health guidelines.
