Today, it is with great sadness that we learned of the passing of Donald Labonté, former CEO of Rock of Ages. Throughout his career, Donald touched the lives o...f many. His story is a remarkable one. It is the story of a young 18-year-old man who debuted his career at the Stanstead plant, working his way up through the ranks to become the head of one of the most respected companies in the industry. He left none indifferent and was admired by all, as is the fate of all great men. To him, we are eternally grateful. Today, my thoughts go out to his family. Our deepest condolences go out to his wife Darleen, his two daughters Samantha and Melissa, and his grandson. Il ne laissait jamais indifférent et était admiré par tous. C’est le sort des grands hommes. Nous lui sommes largement redevables. Aujourd’hui, je pense tout particulièrement à sa famille. Polycor has recently achieved NSC-373 certification for its Bethel White Quarry. This is a voluntary accreditation that helps architects and builders who specif...y stone ensure their selection is produced in an economic, environmental and socially responsible manner. By meeting this standard, Polycor can now help building designers meet industry standards for green building. The Bethel White Quarry in Bethel, Vermont was among the first commercially operated quarries in the U.S., and material from the site was used for a range of historic buildings and national landmarks. These include government facilities multiple state capitol buildings, the Smithsonian Museum of Natural History in Washington, DC, and the U.S. Post Office, also in Washington, DC.

Natural stone is the original organic building material it requires no chemicals for production, unlike building materials like quartz which use... a combination of crushed stones and resins to manufacture products. Natural stone "production" simply entails extraction, cutting, and polishing.
