Have you heard the story behind our name, Posa Posa? Along the Amalfi Coast, set in the mountains that kiss the Mediterranean Sea is Positano, Italy, our family's hometown. According to legend, the original founders of Positano were sailors who were out at sea amidst a great storm. Echoing from the mountains they heard a voice that called out to them "Posa Posa" which means "rest, rest." They sailed upon the rocky shore, finding solace in the coast, and decided to remain there. Centuries later, our restaurant's founders emigrated from their beautiful village to New York, with the dream of opening a restaurant that would pay homage to the village they left behind.
