Chili Fire Explorers drilled on portable radios and communication skills this morning. Practiced skills such as keep it simple and short, conditions actions and needs, and send respond and confirm.

Chili Fire Explorers trained on basic hydrant setup, attack line deployment, hose rolls and hose loading this morning for drill.

Chili Fire Explorers drilled on SCBA familiarization to include components, 2 minute drills, emergency escapes, and finding out how they can get through small spaces.

Chili Fire Explorers did some rapid intervention search and rescue team training this morning. Explorers worked as a team to find and extract a downed firefighter in our maze building. While the photos make it look bright in the maze it was all in the dark.

Chili Fire Explorers drilled on basic hydrant knowledge and components, making hydrants as a team, and how to roll out standard attack lines. As you can see, one can easily get you tangled up in the hose.

Chili Fire Explorers drilled on vent-enter-isolation-search skills this morning. Explorers practiced throwing a ground ladder solo, entering in through windows, isolating the room by closing entry way doors, and extracting a victim via the window and ladder to safety.
