Despite the challenges of COVID-19 Four members of Prattsburgh Ambulance have achieved their EMT-B credential this year. Laura Moore, Rebecca Squires, Barbara Lyzwa and Jillian Wagner. The ambulance is always looking for volunteers to help serve the Prattsburgh community.

We are going to need YOUR HELP to pull this off!! !! Past years with a different company I was able to provide over 50 kids in Foster care a bag to pack their belongings in. This year, I have chosen to Donate to our Local EMS &Police Stations!! These super soft cuddly Buddies, Buddy Clips, and Friends will be given to local Children to help calm and comfort them during whatever crazy moment they may be in!! This speaks to my heart!! If it does yours too and you want to help...just let me know!! These range from $15-$40 each but, no amount is ever too small!! Together...We Can Make This Happen!!
The mobile mammogram unit is returning to the Steuben County Office Building on Friday, October 30. To schedule your appointment call 585-922-7465 or 833-922-7465. All participants must wear a mask and only the person getting their mammogram can enter the bus.

PAINTED POST, NY Steuben County Public Health in conjunction with the New York State Department of Health is offering free COVID-19 rapid testing on Monday, October 19 through Friday, October 23 at the Beartown Road Alliance Church located at 21 Beartown Road in Painted Post. The testing will be available: Monday, October 19 from 10 am 4 pm Tuesday, October 20 from 12 pm 6 pm Wednesday, October 21 from 10 am 4 pm Thursday, October 22 from 12 pm 6 pm Friday, October 23 from 9 am 2 pm Testing is free and open to New York State residents. Participants must pre-register in order to be tested at https://tinyurl.com/steubenrapidtest. ReScroll down to register for the specific day desired. Each individual in the vehicle who wants to get tested will need to register separately. Participants should show up at their designated appointment time to allow for safe traffic patterns. Participants must remain in their vehicle with windows rolled up until testing occurs, wear masks and bring identification. Those under age 18 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. Pets should be left at home. COVID-19 is spreading at an unsustainable rate in Steuben County, said Public Health Director, Darlene Smith. Our goal with this rapid testing is to identify hundreds of unknown cases, quarantine impacted individuals, and slow the spread through the community.
