So many people say that your love for your dogs changes or lessens once you have a baby . I don’t think they’ve met me or @keithprestano because we are obsessed with these two and we’re not about to let that change . Although I know it’s all with good intentions, I’m a little sick of all the negativity I hear surrounding birth and postpartum... it’s going to hurt so badly sleep now because you’re never sleeping again take advantage of date nights now because those are going out the window soon glad you’re getting your workouts in now because you won’t pretty soon The list goes on . While versions of those comments may be true how about we flip the switch? wait until you see how strong and powerful your body is sure sleep will look different but you get to snuggle the most adorable girl every night you and your spouse are going to feel a love between each other like no other wait until you can include baby girl in your workouts, a whole new kind of fun . Just some random rambles tonight, so thanks for sticking with me! As we get closer and closer to baby girl’s arrival I’m choosing to control my anxiety by flipping the switch & building that positive mindset See more

Fitness has brought me through so many different phases of life . dancing through the awkwardness of high school running to get through the homesickness picking up weights to explore something new and discovering I LOVED it... sweating and pushing through some of the hardest years of body image struggles finding recovery and becoming the strongest version of myself walking through some of my most anxious days and now prioritizing my health & my girl’s health by leading by example . It’s not about the physique. Sure, it’s a nice bonus. But using fitness as a tool to every stage of your life- as stress relief, as a mental release, as empowerment, as a model - that’s where it’s really at . What has fitness gotten you through? Maybe not your typical transformation post but it’s the best kind of transformation to me . 1st picture I was deep in disordered eating & killing my body in intense exercise with no rest. My diet was so restricted any time I deviated from my safe foods I felt extreme guilt and attempted to use exercise to make up for it . Last picture was before I got pregnant (duh) and had found a much healthier relationship with my nutrition and fitness. Intuitive eating literally sav...ed me and I found many forms of exercise that I ENJOYED & was doing for healthy reasons (aka not punishing myself) . Picture in the middle is now. 31.5 weeks pregnant and still healthy! Sure my muscles look different, I lose my breath walking up a flight of stairs and my energy levels are definitely less but I’m healthy. I eat a diet with a wide variety of nutrients that not only set me up for a healthy pregnancy but are fueling my baby girl in her growth and development. I’m still chugging along in my workouts - cycling, lifting, walking, doing yoga, stretching constantly and feeling so good because of it . All of this to say- HEALTH is so much more than your physical appearance or a number on the scale. Once you tune into how your food and movement choices impact how you FEEL, it’s a total game changer . Find your WHY, connect with yourself & ask yourself what you can and want to sustain for the long haul. I don’t know about you but I’ll take a strong body inside and out that can carry me through all the twists and turns of life . . . #transformation #mytransphormationstartstoday #1stphormlegionnaire #iam1stphorm #progress #intuitiveeating #recovery #pregnant #pregnancy #bumpdate #thirdtrimester #prenatal #prenatalfitness #prenatalhealth #healthypregnancy #healthylifestyle #healthyliving #wellness See more

Is that safe for pregnancy? . Before I got pregnant, I was convinced that my workout routine would totally change, that I would be fragile and would need to be so careful with my every movement . But then I educated myself And guess what- we are NOT fragile, we will not break. In fact, continuing to move our bodies during pregnancy is one of the best things that we can do (with doctors approval)... . You know your body better than you may think. Don’t start anything new or crazy. If it HURTS, stop. But also look into why it’s hurting and what you can do to fix it . Im curious- for my current moms & mamas to be- would you be interested in hearing more about pregnancy safe movement? What’s your favorite way to get your movement in? . . . #pregnancysafe #pregnancy #pregnancysafeworkouts #fitpregnancy #fitpregnancyjourney #thirdtrimester #healthypregnancy #prenatalworkout #prenatal #fitmom #fitmoms #fitmama #momtobe #dueinapril #pregnancytips #girlmom See more
