They know they have a great product, but they are struggling to survive the $13,000 monthly rent of a small place (not to mention the almost $60,000 per year for hashgacha and mashgiach costs). He said they are giving it one more month and if they do not see a change, they will be forced to close. One of the problems is that they are having a tough time getting mashgichim. They have had to close early at times and have given up opening Saturday night since they can not find a mashgiach to work there. We usually find out about a restaurant closure when it's too late but here's an opportunity for us to keep them going. So I'm asking the Foodie Community for feedback and help to see if we can keep this place alive. We need to support our neighborhood restaurants and give them fighting a chance. Let's not wait till it's too late to say, oh, I loved that place or I never had a chance to go. Go in and give them a try. Or we will lose them. Furthermore, if there is someone who is interested in taking over the place or would perhaps want to be an investor/partner with some other ideas, please let me know.
