P E R S P E C T I V E. I have had this quote above the computer in my office for at least the past 3 years; I see it at least a handful of times each day. It is one of the most meaningful quotes to me. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. was (wow, no word I’m trying to type does a justice or measures up) beyond iconic, wise, strong, fierce, poised, centered, and inspirational. The silver lining of this day is seeing this world flooded with his powerful messages, and for a brief time, were acutely reminded of his message, and his dream. I wish we could always be mindful of his words and purpose. I think one of the most striking things about him is that his focus was entirely on others, and specifically the betterment of others through awareness and service. Remarkable man with a profound effect on us all.

S H O C K E D. For every pie I donated to a client and referral source and aid to this business, I donated a meal to a family in need, here locally in Rochester. Proud to say, I donated over 108 pies, and therefore over 108 meals to those FAMILIES who TRULY NEED IT. Seeing people safely from a difference was refreshing; being able to give to others is a huge calling for me...but I was shocked and still have chills typing this... without advertising or encouraging anything, cl...ients would say oh my god, I want to donate this is to cool! $20 led to $100 which led to a bit more, and eventually we amassed over $1,850. That is NOT a typo. These are unsolicited donations OVER AND ABOVE our own. As we approach Thanksgiving I struggle to find the words to show how thankful I am to see people chipping in, to GIVE, to unknown people, ones they’ve never met or ever will. Very cool moment to step into thanksgiving with. And I thank you all....thank you for your friendship, thank you for your trust and confidence, thanks for your business and referrals, but most of all thank you for opening your hearts, especially in a time when we need it most. N O W , is a tough time for many. We focus on what we are without; things have changed, things have been taken from us or denied us. It’s a tough time, no two ways about it.
