The reason we do inspections..... A couple felt terrible because they were told by another company that they had bed bugs and it was going to cost thousands of dollars (the other companies prices) to get rid of them. The couple didn't feel right so they called us. Rick talked to them and described our process that includes steam and told them if the company was not going to use steam then they could not effectively treat for bed bugs. The couple had us come in and do an inspe...ction after hearing how to properly get rid of bed bugs. Wade inspected the home and was not seeing any signs of bed bugs at all. He asked the couple where the other company found signs. They told him he picked one up off of a window sill and showed them quickly but would not let them look closely at the bed bug. Wade continued to look and was only able to find signs of carpet beetles. The other company showed the couple the shell of a carpet beetle then mislead them to believe they needed to spend thousands of dollars to treat for bed bugs. We were able to treat the problem for only a few hundred dollars!! Please call us at 625-8800 for an inspection if you believe you have bed bugs or if you were told by another company that you have them. Also, remember that in order to effectively treat for bed bug, steaming must be a part of the process.

For those that ask "Why kill the bees now, aren't they going to die during winter?" The quick answer is no, they won't die. God created Bees smart enough to use your home as a heater to keep them alive all winter long. The Yellow Jackets (or other species) will build their nest in your home. They build it in your ceiling between the sheet rock and insulation. That way the heat rising from inside your home will keep them nice and warm all winter long. Then when spring comes around, they have everything they built the year before already established and just start from there building the nest bigger and bigger! If you see one of these in your yard, give us a call at 625-8800. This is a great specimen of a Bald Faced Hornets nest. For every hexagon, that was a Hornet that belonged to this nest. You can still see the white sacks which contain the larvae. Some were actually hatching and you can see some antennae and heads sticking out. A Yellow Jacket nest would look the same. Whether in your wall, in the ground or on a tree the nests are constructed the same way. Each round set of hexagons start small and grow out, then they start a new set. The nest, which is usually made of leaves chewed up and processed by the hornet, will continue to grow until Pro Star arrives and puts a stop to it.
