We just finished a great family workshop on Homework Help, facilitated by Leru Multi Service Agency. This was the second in our Title I Parent Involvement series and we're looking forward to the next two! #familyengagement #parentinvolvement Thank you to our amazing Title I Parent Advisory Council chair and alternate chair for surveying and presenting to families to make this happen.

On Saturday, The PTA hosted a truly delicious family engagement event. The virtual baking class with one of our parents/the proprietor of Rhapsody Sweetz was a blast. We made 4 ingredient cookie bars. Don't they look yummy?!

Mr. Coleman, whose daughter formerly attended our school, along with funding from the P.S. 241 PTA, helped make possible the gifting of 4 additional Chromebooks through a recent DonorsChoose project. We truly appreciate their support of remote learning.

Last Friday, We celebrated #WorldReadAloudDay. From Pre-K to 5th-grade, students and teachers read aloud fun, inspiring, and informative stories to one another, in the classroom and at home. #BlackHistoryMonth #CulturallyResponsive #worldreadaloudday2021

On this frigid morning, the P.S. 241 community just had our hearts and spirits warmed at our monthly assembly where our 4th graders presented to 200+ students staff, and families. In line with the January theme of TOLERANCE in our Social-Emotional Learning curriculum, we were reminded, "Before you speak, think and be smart. It's hard to fix a wrinkled heart."

Don't you love getting great news? We just learned that long-time supporter and P.S. 241 alumnus, Mr. Peter Malkin has donated over $2,000 to a DonorsChoose project to fund much-needed technology for our students. Thank you for always remembering us, Mr. Malkin!
