Buffalo State MPA students competed at one of 11 regional sites (Rutgers U, Newark - School of Public Administration), sharing first place with Columbia University in a daylong competition involving several teams comprised of students from 20 universities. They will be moving on to the final round to compete for the national championship.

SUNY Buffalo State's MPA Team shared first place at the prestigious 2019 NASPAA Batten Policy Simulation for graduate students studying public administration and public policy at NASPAA member schools. (See http://nbsims.org/competitions/2019/.) The subject of this year's simulation was Global Migration. Buffalo State MPA students competed with several teams comprised of students representing MPP/MPA programs from 20 universities at one of 11 regional sites (Rutgers U, Newar...k)- tying for first place with Columbia University's team. Their first-place win qualifies them to move on to the final round where a national winner will be decided by a panel of judges who are renowned experts in the field of global migration.
