Yesterday was a remarkably historic event, and along with the breaking of racial and gendered barriers, we witnessed young poet laureate Amanda Gorman recite an inspiring and uplifting original piece that encouraged us to continue helping our students realize and reach their endless potential. We have sustained our efforts to provide our students with academic and emotional support along with nutritious foods throughout this pandemic, and we don't plan on stopping anytime soon. Our students are our priority and we're happy to provide them with the support they need during this time.

Publicolorful thanks to our Junior Board member Naufal for leading an incredible workshop about the events at the Capitol earlier this year, for helping our students process their emotions and for opening a dialogue about the dangers of misinformation.
