This is what I am up to, this is the major reason why I moved to Boise, ID. The time is now, we are at a critical junction when it comes to sustainability and the future of our food system and my company, Pure Love Sustainability Inc. is out to solve these challenges first-hand. If you care about the health of our planet, human beings and our food system I request that you make a donation to our GoFundMe campaign and share this with the people that you know that also care.

You know the old adage, by failing to plan, you are planning to fail. While so many people look at this in terms of your job, or a vacation, or for a large family get together, this adage also applies to your garden. Experienced gardeners know that you cannot wait until March to plan your spring garden as doing so means that you will not be able to grow some of spring's tastiest treats and most beautiful flowers. So rather than be behind wouldn't it make sense to have a cl...ear plan for actions that you should take now to have a lush, vibrant, successful spring garden? If you have always wondered what my neighbor/friend is doing to have that beautiful spring garden then I recommend that you register for the virtual Spring Gardening Success Class that will be happening on Saturday January 30th from 10:30 AM - 12:00 PM via Zoom. The class costs $7, so you might as well sign up now and get ahead of the curve for the upcoming gardening season! Click the link below to register (Only registered and paid participants in the class will get access to the Zoom link for the class) https://www.eventbrite.com/e/virtual-spring-gardening-succe

We just got turned onto a new film called Kiss The Ground which is about the state of our agricultural system and how regenerative agriculture can be utilized as an invaluable tool to reverse global warming. Did you know that agricultural practices, specifically chemical-intensive, till-intensive, and fertilizer-intensive practices, are responsible for anywhere between 23% and 30% of carbon emissions. Regenerative agriculture is the solution as this agricultural technique is ...used to build soil health, reducing chemical inputs, and train the soil to store carbon. Regenerative agriculture is the number 11 solution to reversing global warming according to Project Drawdown, a compilation of focused research to define the top solution to climate change, so we need to bring this solution to the masses so it can have a large-scale global effect. Kiss the Ground covers all of these items and more, check out the trailer and then go watch this game changing film on Netflix! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K3-V1j-zMZw

The current reality of our food system looks like this: Dairy farmers have milk that people would love to buy but can't sell because they don't sell direct to consumers and are having trouble building direct to consumer relationships so they are throwing away thousands upon thousands of gallons of milk. What are produce farmers who sell their raw materials only to distributors/food processors to do besides throw away or burn thousands of pounds of produce away when their dis...tributors/food processors don't have enough demand for their products and have to close up shop. What is a farmer to do when they have to sell 5,000 pounds of cabbage to make a living to do when they had to plant their seeds before the COVID-19 pandemic came along and now can't sell their products. These are some of the many challenges of our food system and we will all be impacted by these challenges. So we wanted to share an article with you about how we can fix our current food system from CommunityWealth. If you find this article inspiring, share it with someone. If you find yourself inspired to take action then do it and share the action (s) that you are taking with us and others. We can create a local food system that works for everyone and it starts with small actions. https://community-wealth.org/strategi//urban-ag/index.html

Planting native plants has been shown to have be extremely beneficial in a number of ways. Native plants are uniquely adapted to the climate that you live in, which means that they will naturally grown in your environment without needing the copious amounts of water, the large amount of work and the investment that comes in maintaining your lawn. Native plant gardens comes with a whole host of other benefits, which includes increasing biodiversity in your region, creating bird, butterfly and pollinator habitats, conserve water and can remove carbon dioxide from the air and store the carbon dioxide that they take in. https://purelovesustainabilityinc.com//stop-giving-your-t/
