In search for Veterinary Technician Putman’s Veterinary Clinic is a newly founded clinic in Gouverneur NY, formerly Dr. Twinings practice. We are a practice starting to expand and looking for a part time to full time veterinary technician. We will focus on dogs and cats while offering affordable healthcare for their furry friends.. We look to serve our community small... animal needs and expand our abilities while maintaining a friendly client-centered focus. We are looking for an individual who is hard working, ambitious with a friendly personality. Our workplace promotes respect for clients and each other, professionalism, and passion for the work we do; a sense of humor is also greatly appreciated! Veterinary technicians support the veterinarians, and their duties include but are not limited to patient restraint, phlebotomy, laboratory skills, anesthesia, dental cleanings, radiography, client education, records maintenance and housekeeping. It is expected that you will be able to assist with restraining and lifting heavy patients, can tolerate occasionally noisy environments, can stay focused under stressful conditions and will accurately record patient data. The successful applicant enjoys engaging with and educating clients, is compassionate towards all patients and has competency in basic technical skills. . Hours are M-Th 8-5; F 5-7 and Sat 8-11. Schedules are flexible Hourly wage will depend on experience.
