Do we miss Councilwoman De Giorgio, yet? Dear Port Washington Commuter, PW Parking District - Commuter Parking Increase & Change in Hours of Enforcement... Due to the coronavirus pandemic, the Port Washington Parking District is suffering from a financial shortfall. If the Port Washington Parking District is unable to meet its financial obligations on its own, it may be forced to dissolve. Should the Parking District dissolve, all of the parking areas it previously maintained and operated would fall under the Town’s general fund. As part of the general fund, Port Washington commuters would lose the exclusivity they have enjoyed, and ALL Town of North Hempstead residents would be eligible to park in those areas. In order to preserve the Port Washington Parking District, and to maintain the exclusive parking arrangement for Port Washington commuters, it will be necessary to increase the District’s parking fee schedule. I will be asking the Town Board at the December 17, 2020 TONH Board Meeting to vote on a resolution amending the fee schedule for Commuter parking permits in the Port Washington Parking District. The increase will happen over time to match that of our neighbors in Manhasset (Daily - $3.00; Monthly - $60.00; Annual - $700.00). Pending approval by the Town Board, the commuter parking rates will increase according to the following fee schedule: Daily Commuter Parking Permit o 2021 - $3.00 Monthly Commuter Parking Permit o 2021 - $40.00 o 2022 - $60.00 Annual Commuter Parking Permit o 2021 - $400.00 o 2022 - $475.00 o 2023 - $550.00 o 2024 - $625.00 o 2025 - $700.00 While increasing fees is never the first or the easy choice, especially when everyone feels a financial crunch, this is a situation that requires us to make difficult but necessary decisions. However, given the alternative, I believe this is the better choice. Also, at the December 17, 2020 TONH Board Meeting, I will be setting a public hearing date to change the hours of enforcement for street meters for the Port Washington Public Park District from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. except for Sundays and holidays to 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. except for Sundays and holidays. The parking lots with muni meters will change from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. except Saturdays, Sundays and holidays to 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. except Saturdays, Sundays and holidays. We are in this together, and as I stated above, this is not an easy choice, but it’s necessary. If you would like to stay informed about issues and events affecting District 6, please sign up for my email newsletter. Simply visit my Council page at the Town of North Hempstead website, scroll to the bottom and enter your information (see link below). It just takes a few seconds to register. Thank you, Mariann Dalimonte Councilwoman Town of North Hempstead 220 Plandome Road

Now this is a great song!
Democrats are not democrats; they are totalitarians. They have declared war on the First Amendment, the Second Amendment, the Electoral College, the Senate, the Supreme Court, the election system, and the idea of civil order. They have called for the Republican President of the United States to be de-platformed and jailed.
Will we be Backing the Blue on Monday night!!!????? Heck YES!!!
