Oh, in case you like a hint of smoke, we did a batch with smoked cream as well. The recipe calls for aging the mix for two weeks at least before drinking, which will be a few days before Christmas. SMOKED STEELHEAD TROUT We are now producing Hot Smoked Steelhead Trout for Hudson Valley Fisheries. In the store we have plain filets and flavored glazes: maple/miso, ancho/honey, habanero/orange, gochujang, and szechuan/ginger/maple. Each filet is roughly 4 ounces. TAKE OUT DINNERS SUSPENDED Hi Everyone, Last week we unexpectedly lost my father-in-law. He loved his family unconditionally and was extremely proud of his children and grand children. We will all miss him.... As we navigate this uncharted territory, we are going to be suspending dinner take out. In the meantime, you can enjoy our ready-to-eat items available from Good Cheap Food. This week we made: Seafood and Sausage Chowder in a Smoked Tomato Base Creamy Corn Chowder Smoked Blue Fish Pate We also have a stock of: Pulled Pork Tasso Caribbean Jerk Ribs 24-Hour Flank Steak Smoked Brisket These items all make quick and easy meals for any number of people. To Taste of the Catskill Lovers, It is with heartfelt regret that we inform you we must cancel Taste of the Catskills 2020. This is particularly sad as we’ve co...ntinued to improve and achieve better events each year, culminating in our 10 Year Anniversary last year. We hate to break the momentum and we are committed to making an impact locally for farms, artisans and small business. This event is a Fall tradition and an income source for so many in our area; much during these difficult times. We’ve spent a lot of time working with the Department of Health and other state agencies trying to figure out ways to hold a smaller/ revised event in a safe manner. Ultimately NYS determined that it wasn’t possible, so doing anything close to what one would expect at Taste of the Catskills was not going to happen. We would not able to host most of our staple offereings and activities. For those yearning to do something fun this autumn, we share your pain and sadness. Please support our local farmers, artisans, and businesses in any way you can over the coming months. This is a difficult time for everyone and our vendors, sponsors and both our businesses have been severely impacted by this pandemic. Thank you for your support and patronage over the past 10 years!
