All you have to do is count all your NY-5 cent plastic and cans into light colored bags and put your glass in a box. Pull in, take your stuff out of your car, we will come to you to look over your bags and make sure they all have deposits and are free of liquid,You give us your total number of bottles, we tell you where to put your bags and we pay you !! Open Monday, Wednesday,Friday and Saturday from 9:30-3:30 and Sundays from 10-3 CLOSED ON TUESDAYS

I get a lot of phone calls, messages and people showing up not very happy that we aren’t back to counting. Look at these pictures, they are the reason why we will never be able to go back to counting. This is from today, if we even tried to count all this we would still be there and so would you. We still have to sort everything that is brought in, So please as spring approaches and we get busier and busier, please be patient we try to get you all in and out as quickly as possible.

So I am starting a fundraiser at Quick and easy bottle returns for the rescue that Tyler Mosher and I got our Moose at. Ark charities. They resecue a lot of Ger...man Shepherds but many other dogs too. They are very honest, they are genuine people and have a great trainer they personally use with the dogs. They help veterans & children with disabilities to make sure they get the dogs they need. With everything going on it’s been really hard for them to do fundraisers and things to raise money to help these dogs. So I’m asking if anyone has bottles they don’t need and have laying around that you please return them in ark charities name. **PLEASEEE pre count your bottles & have glass separate in a box. And you have to stay while they run inside quick to get you your receipt. They keep a receipt and so will you, so they can keep track of the donations.** Donations can be brought to both Carmel and pawling store!! Or Tyler and I can come pick them up from you !! Due to the uptick in Covid-19 cases I would like you all to be aware of our rules that are to protect you and all of us. When you arrive you are to take your bottles out of your car, you must wear a mask. One of my employees will come to you. NOBODY IS ALLOWED IN THE CARMEL STORE When they approach your car please step back 6 feet or more and let them look at your bags. You give them your total amount of bottles, they will tell you where to put them and they will get your mo...ney. I will now find a container for you to take your money out of , it will be disinfected between customers. I CAN NOT STRESS ENOUGH ABOUT THE CLEANLINESS OF YOUR BOTTLES. To our customers: Lately we have been receiving a lot of bags with bottles half full of liquid. We are not here to empty them as we are busy enough sorting them. Also, I can even begin to explain the mess with some of these bags, garbage, beer at the bottom etc.... Please remember, Our job isn’t done when you drop them off. Since we opened back up in April the Carmel location has been closed every TUESDAY, WEDNESDAY AND THURSDAY. It is now the middle of September and I still have people pulling in when my employees come to work ( because we are working 7 days a week) and cursing them out because we are closed besides the people cursing them out when we are open because they don’t want to pre count. This is uncalled for and won’t be tolerated. My employees deserve respect, they work very hard and they don’t need to be cursed out on top of it. If there is a problem ask for my husband or myself. I just want all of you to see why we have to close at least 3 days a week. We are pushed to capacity within two to three days. Then we have to sort everything you bring. My employees work very hard everyday. Most of my customers are excellent!! We have gotten to know a lot of you. But we have some that are not very nice...So once again remember that when you bring your bottles and say something to them because we were closed. I know this is about the third time I’m gonna post this but in the world we are living in today.... KINDNESS GOES A LONG WAY. Be well

For the customers going into my pawling store complaining that google shows my Carmel store open... I can assure you it does not. You are looking at Pawling location on google. I keep up with all of this for this reason.

Do to another 3 days of overwhelming volume... Our Carmel location will be closed until Friday June 19th, Our Patterson/ Pawling store located at 31 Rt 22, pawling ( in the same plaza as Dollar General)will be open our normal days and hours which are as follows: Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday 9:30-3:30 this Sunday ( Father’s Day) we will be open from 10-2pm. Although we are closed we are constantly working to sort all the bottles and make more room. Sorry for any inconvenience this may cause.

In today’s world everyone can afford to be a little kinder... We work so very hard to get you in and out quickly. Now we have to look through everything because when we ask if you have non deposits like angry orchard, Gatorade etc..we get told no time and time again. Then we go to sort and find at least a dozen. Also, My employees are always respectful and polite, I wouldn’t accept anything else. Please reciprocate, there is no need to be nasty. We are encountering that a lot , We work constantly to try to keep up sorting and disinfecting. They deserve patience and a smile

Due to the amount of bottles we have taken in the last couple of days we will be closed tomorrow (Sunday June 7th ) - Thursday June 11th. We will reopen Friday June 12th. All my employees have worked very hard over the last few days to make more room, so we can serve you better. **So I feel the need to remind you all that water bottles with red lines around the barcode DO NOT have a deposit **Angry orchard DOES NOT have a deposit ** We DO NOT accept Montauk beer ** Most ICED TEAS AND ALOT OF VITAMIN WATER DOES NOT have a deposit.... ** We take your word for pre counts, PLEASE MAKE SURE THERE IS A DEPOSIT ON THE CAN OR BOTTLE. ** Also EVERYTHING needs to be pre counted in a light colored bag and ALL GLASS needs to be put in a box. As we are working very hard to sort the extremely large amount of bottles and cans that were brought in, I need to remind you all that Angry Orchard DOES NOT have a deposit, neither does the small cans of Arizona, Gatorade or power aid . I was bringing a bag of glass in and the whole bag broke. It crashed on the floor causing me to cut my hand. For the safety of me and my coworkers, I am asking ...please put your glass in a box. Also, PLEASE make sure your glass is in a DRY box. We will no longer be accepting glass in wet boxes. I lifted a box and all of the glass fell through the bottom. Thank you guys for supporting us!

Due to overwhelming volume, as of Monday June 1st all bottles and cans MUST BE pre counted. We ask that you try to put them in light colored bags.We will not be able to accept uncounted bags. Same rules apply, glass separate and also we have A LOT of broken glass due to people loading plastic bags with glass, then dragging them across the parking lot. So also as of Monday all glass MUST be in boxes. I don’t care what kind of box but in boxes. Please make sure everything has a NY 5 deposit on it and everything is clean. Thank you, Q & E Management

This is a red line bottle with no deposit, also there are some vitamin waters that do have a deposit and some that don’t. Just look at the side of the bottle. Here are some non deposits: Pure leaf Brisk Arizona / there is a Arizona sparkling that does have a deposit ... Gatorade Hard ciders / Angry Orchard, Stella cider etc Tropicana Yoo-hoo Pretty much anything with carbonation and waters have a deposit. On plastic the NY 5 will be on the side most times, on cans it’s mostly on the top. With the amount of people we are seeing everyday if we didn’t require pre counting and limiting how many bags we count, we would never be able to serve all of you. We hope you are all well See more

I feel I need to leave some guidelines on returning bottles. The first time you come we will take 5 kitchen garbage bags or 2 contractor bags to count. This is all out of courtesy for the next customer, it gets so busy that we need to be fair to you all. If you have anymore than that they will need to be pre counted. Whether you take them home to do them or in the parking lot that is up to you. Going forward, your next visit will be pre counted. These are our new regulations.... We were giving out bags but we ran out and don’t know when we will receive more. So please try to refrain from using black bags we need to see what is in them. Kitchen bags are fine. Onto the rules: #1 ALL GLASS NEEDS TO BE SEPARATE AND CLEAN, if you can keep the boxes that would be great! #2 YOUR BOTTLES AND CANS NEED TO BE CLEAN. THERE ARE SO MANY PEOPLE RETURNING BOTTLES FILLED WITH LIQUID. WE ARE IN THE MIDDLE OF A PANDEMIC AND I WILL NOT ACCEPT DIRTY BOTTLES. THAT MEANS NO LIQUID IN THEM. #3 THERE ARE NO DEPOSITS ON ICED TEAS OF ANY KIND, ORANGE JUICE, GATORADE ALSO BEER CIDERS. WE ARE ALSO GETTING A LOT OF POLAND SPRING WITH A RED LINE AROUND THE BAR CODE. THOSE DO NOT HAVE A DEPOSIT!! So please start looking at your bottles they NEED to have the NY 5 deposit. We are asking the customers that bring large amounts of glass to please #1 clean them and # 2 put them in the boxes they came in. It is taking us so much longer to sort through large amounts of glass that 99% of the time has broken glass. Thank you for your understanding.

Good afternoon customers, this afternoon two men came in with pre counts. It is so very busy here that by accident one of my employees switched the money that was owed and gave one customer way too much and the other too little. The very honest customer came back and said he was over paid. We thank you for that. I know the exact amount the customer was shorted in bottles and will verify. It’s very simple, Glass still remains separate. If you have your boxes from your glass it’s even easier for you and for us. Put all your glass in your boxes, if not that’s ok too. Plastic and cans can be put together. You count all your bottles and keep a tally of what you have. We ask that everything is in cl...ear bags. Don’t worry, if you don’t have them stop by our store and pick some up !! We will gladly give them to you for PRE COUNTED BOTTLES. Pre counting is also an option, then you would just let us know how much you have and we will pay you. No waiting Also, a lot of bags that are being brought have garbage and have liquid in them. Good morning, My husband has decided to open our Carmel location today, Saturday 3/21 and tomorrow Sunday 3/22. Effective 8pm on Sunday Governor Cuomo’s statewide shutdown of nonessential businesses goes into effect.We will be closed from Monday on until further notice. We will ask that you bring your bottles to the door, we will take them , count them and bring your money out to you.

I know with fears of Coronavirus everyone is staying home. Believe me, I get it !! I’ve noticed a lot more pre counts coming in. If you don’t want to come stand in the store you are more than welcome to pre count, we even give you the bags!! All you do is keep a tally of what you have ( please glass still separate ) then bring the bags to us, we pay you and you are on your way.

Good afternoon, I hope you are all well. I just wanted to let you all know that although this business can be a messy one, We clean with bleach through out the day. The tables, walls,baskets on the tables and all door handles multiple times a day. Most of the time I’m spraying bleach on everyone’s bottle returns... This isn’t any different then when we opened two years ago. I’m sorry I can no longer supply hand sanitizer on my table because I cannot find any in stores. Just a...s all of you are trying to do your best to stay healthy and protect you and your family, I must do the same for mine. So if you are sick please wait to come in to return your bottles. My kids are in the store constantly. The other kids that work for me are like my ownas well. We wish you all well and hope we continue to see you all.
