Mask distribution at Hudson Valley Islamic Community Center till 4 pm today

Donations of KN95 masks and sanitizer were donated by the hundreds to staff at Saint Joseph's Hospital in Yonkers yesterday (Thursday), which was among the hardest hospitals hit by coronavirus in New York State. Representatives of the nurses union and hospital leaders came out to receive the products from Rey and Hanan Mussa along with Mike Khader, the president of the Yonkers City Council (in blue jacket), who provided guidance to RMC Corp. about the distribution. Masks and sanitizer were also donated to Yonkers first responders and to an organization that helps the homeless.

KN95 MASKS, SANITIZER TO BE DELIVERED TO SAINT JOSEPH’S MEDICAL CENTER THIS THURSDAY, FOLLOWED BY MASK DISTRIBUTION TO GENERAL PUBLIC AT 327 YONKERS AVENUE YONKERS, NY - City Council President Mike Khader, in a partnership with local business owners Rey and Hanan Mussa of RMC Corporation (AKA QuickStop), will deliver several hundred KN95 masks and hand sanitizer to the nurses and healthcare staff at Saint Joseph’s Hospital this Thursday, April 16. These urgently-needed perso...nal protective equipment (PPE) and sanitizer comes after calls last week from local nurses pleading for assistance. The masks and sanitizer were donated by the Mussas, who own the RMC Sunoco at 327 Yonkers Avenue, among other gas station convenience stores and car washes throughout Westchester. This is about a public-private partnership to help a community that has been hardest hit in Westchester County by the coronavirus, Khader said. On behalf of the entire City of Yonkers, I’m grateful for the Mussa's generosity to help our nurses who are working around the clock to save lives while risking their own. Rey Mussa said: Our hearts go out to the nurses, doctors, the hospital staff and all our first responders during these difficult times. This is a small gesture of our appreciation for these heroes. Following the donation at the hospital, there will be an additional drive-through distribution of protective masks for Yonkers residents at the Sunoco Station (327 Yonkers Avenue) from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM on a first-come, first-serve basis. Residents wanting to receive a mask must stay in their vehicles and are limited to two masks per vehicle. THIS THURSDAY: DISTRIBUTION OF MASKS, SANITIZERS IN YONKERS This Thursday, April 16, RMC Corporation (AKA Quickstop) -with owners Rey and Hanan Mussa on hand - will distribute protective masks and hand sanitizer to vehicles that line up at their RMC Yonkers Sunoco, 327 Yonkers Avenue in Yonkers. The drive through begins at 2 pm and will stop at 3 pm.
