While our C-A community and the Hope Club at the high school will still support the American Cancer Society, we are combining social pages to have a stronger reach throughout the area. Stay tuned on Relay For Life of Columbia-Greene NY 's page www.relayforlife.org/CGNY or reach out to our 2021 staff partner [email protected]

Today we want to say THANK YOU to the incredible frontline workers who put themselves on the line to fight COVID-19. After a tumultuous year of unknowns, community members have stepped up and shown the resilience needed to get us where we are today.

So many of you expressed a want to do something in the place of wrapping this year. Some participated in bingo, giving Tuseday or the giving wall. This team of ...family members normally wrap all afternoon/night on the 23rd. Check out what they are doing instead!!! _____________ Pete's Reds Football Squares Fundraiser to help fight cancer. Donate $23 and possibly win $575. This football square is in memory of our brother Peter Balogh. He lost his courageous 3-year battle to colon cancer on December 23rd, 2009, at the young age of 41. He left behind many friends, hockey teammates, parents, 6 siblings, his wife and 4 young boys (ages 4, 6, 8, and 11). He was a devoted Cincinnati Red's fan, which is the basis of the name of this team. Normally his extended family (about 20-25 of us) gather at Crossgate's Mall for about 8 hours every December 23rd in his memory. We wrap hundreds of gifts for the local American Cancer Society's Wrapping Up Cancer campaign. With the restrictions in place due to the pandemic, we have decided to honor Pete in a different way, while still raising some money to kick cancer's ass (sorry, but that's how we feel).
