Early voting hours in Onondaga County have been extended due to high voter turnout. Saturday and Sunday the polls will now be open 8AM to 3PM.

October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month. 1 in 8 women will develop breast cancer in their lifetime, which means a woman in America is diagnosed every 2 minutes, on average. Make sure you are getting screened early and that you are performing regular self-exams. The earlier it is detected, the higher your chance for a successful treatment and recovery.

This weekend I had the pleasure of joining local leaders and activists in the Women's March in Syracuse, and got to meet the most adorable Pikachu! There is so much at stake with the potential confirmation of a new Supreme Court Justice who does not value the equal rights of all people. We must continue to stand up for women's rights, marriage equality, protection from discrimination for our LGBTQ neighbors, and access to healthcare for all. Please make sure you vote and demand a better America for everyone.

Madison County Health Department is holding two Drive-Thru Flu Shot Clinics in Brookfield and DeRuyter to increase availability for residents in these and nearby communities.
