Evelyn Haies founder of Rachels Children Reclamation Foundation 1995 was with Sarah Blaustein Hyd Purim 2001 at Rachels Tomb to give Shaloch Manos to soldiers. They went up to glass enclosure to look down at property just purchased by RCRF site unseen just a few feet south. It was a very special day . As RCRF developed the property about 80 soldiers were based there . ...Another day at Rachels Tomb RCRF organized a shofar blowing. It was heard over the phone in South Africa. Evelyn dreams of the RCRF property once again housing the Women’s Torah classes, the Museum of Jewish Aliyah and Biblical Art. RCRF hopes the dreams of building the replica of 1500 Kever Rachel of 4 columns and a dome in a Biblical garden and the Monument for our lost soldiers and victims of terror will be actualized soon. RCRF has two Sefer Torah’s in Rachel’s Tomb. The hachnossat Sefer Torah Rosh Chodesh Tammuz 1998 was so successful the rabbi of Holy Sites announced Kever Rachel open 24 hours. The RCRF purchase of this large property got Kever Rachel included in the protective wall. Sadly the Nathan Strauss and Zvi Hirsh Kalisher purchased properties were left on the other side of the wall built in the middle of the street. See more
