We learned yesterday morning that our dear friend Bob Kaliban passed at home with his family nearby. To remember and honor Bob will take dozens more posts, its ...hard to say good-bye to someone who meant so much to many of us at HEAR Now. Bob was part of the #HEARNowFest family from our first year together in Kansas City!! How wonderful that this unbelievably talented man whose career included Broadway, film, TV, and 100s of national ads, decided he wanted to be part of HEAR Now. He loved joining us annually in June to perform, host sessions and do the thing he loved to do most - meet other actors. We were all the better for this kindness and generosity of spirit. How blessed were we that Bob liked to participate in many of the performances the Festival presented -- from Binaural Shakespeare to reading and hosting Mark Twain, Bob's voice and characters helped to showcase the best of audio fiction and radio drama. How special to get to know Bob at the Mark Twain readings, on the stage of the library, or over a cup of coffee at breakfast. As we miss him dearly remember the beautiful voice and the incredible man he was. Thank you dear friend. See more
