Snow on the garlic April 22, 2021.
There is the heavy smell of earth in the air, mixed with the odor of garlics new growth. We have been asked, when is the time to remove the straw or mulch from your garlic beds. Leaving the mulch on is a great weed barrier. During cold and cloudy spring times we would remove the mulch to warm the earth around the beds. Happy Spring.
Garlic is sprouting.
