Thank you for joining us and our guests on Clubhouse for our Create X Connect: The Launch Series hosted by @misscompton x @stylishflaneuse The Create X Connect club on Clubhouse was created as a virtual extension of our RGCC Community at the gallery. A lot of us can’t always commute to the Bronx to get the Gallery experience due to distance, the pandemic, and other things. ... This was the reason we started our Wednesday meetups on the @clubhouse app. This audio community quickly became a space where we could bring our respective skills, resources, and crafts to inspire, motivate, and support one another. And although the Launch Series is over - the progress never stops- Head over to our site to take advantage of the free resources provided by our expert guests - Including the resources giving by Nasim Mirzai- Product Marketing Manager at @slice - during our last meet up The direct link is in our bio - #RGCClaunchseries #createXconnect

We celebrate Black Excellence Everyday! Congratulations @ericagenece for the Juneteenth Joy Cover Repost: Special Issue cover shot by me for @wwd ... Photographing @dapperdanharlem @meccajw @bibbygregory @_alexisbennett @chan_inthecity Words and article by @vqvaughns So cool that this comes at a moment when Juneteenth has finally been recognized and declared a national holiday. That being said, let’s not forget about all the noise currently being made about critical race theories, and how some feel like they should not be taught in schools. Bills are being introduced teaching of things like race equality and white privilege, claiming that it makes students feel bad. To teach about historical racism and its impact on the modern US is to learn the truth. Somehow learning history has been deemed racist and socially divisive. So far, legislation like this has been proposed in 22 states, and signed into law in five - Idaho, Iowa, Oklahoma, Texas, and Tennessee. It’s never fun to look back at the skeletons in your closet, but by doing so, you can stop someone else from making those same mistakes. Celebrate Blackness today, all day, everyday. Call out the things that need to be called out. Never settle, and never be contempt with what’s given to you. A national holiday is beautiful, but it’s just the start. We are never easing off the gas. This cover is intense for a reason: it’s ‘cause we not done yet. Happy Juneteenth Y’all #juneteenth #melanin #black #culture #wwd #fashion #photoshoot #cover
