Kindness A Must in Christian Journey: Kindness is an act of being generous, helpful, and caring about other people both in words and action. It is one of the Fruit of the Spirit and is one of the characters that should be exhibited as a Christian (Galatians 5:22; 6:9-10). God demonstrated His kindness/love to us by sending His only begotten Son, our Lord Jesus Christ, into the world to the payment for our sins (John 3:16-17).... In the Parable of the Good Samaritan, the main lesson is that when we have the opportunity, we should do good to all men; regardless of whether they are in the church or not. The Samaritan did not inquire whether that the wounded was one of his own. We are most often reluctant to help because of the ingratitude from those being helped, and we become disheartened. But God has called us to help (Hebrew 12:12). Sometimes doing the acts of kindness is difficult, let alone doing with a concerned, warm and generous spirit. We must always remember that our Lord and Savior did it, and that our Father requires it of us if we are to be like Him, and that He has given us His Spirit to enable us to do it. The choice is ours.
