This is a national observance day led by NAATPN, Inc. to engage faith leaders and their communities in a discussion about how to imp...rove health outcomes for African Americans. Smoking kills 47,000 African Americans per year. Most teens and African Americans who smoke choose menthols because the minty flavor helps make it easier to start smoking -- it also makes it harder to quit smoking. Now, in the midst of an international pandemic, it’s more important now than ever to urge our people to quit. Smoking and vaping increase your risk for more severe COVID-19 and even death. We are excited to see how you used your own creativity to engage your faith community in this campaign!
