Rendezvous

Rendezvous somewhere in time.. It is with a heavy heart and light tears, but with a lot of great memories and superb shifts that I have to announce the end of the first chapter of my beloved Rendezvous. These weird times shuffled us all and forces some of us to take a new path.... It became impossible sticking to an empty restaurant and pay bills, and that brought me to an understanding of sealing and signing the first chapter of my lifetime dream- Rendezvous. Before letting you go, and promise you to get another Rendezvous in another location once it’s all over, I would like to credit the humans for which none of it could happen without them: First- my very supportive family. My wife and kids that were very understanding for the crazy life of a chef and a business owner, and were there for me no matter what. And my parents that helped all that way mostly mentally. I couldn’t serve anything as classy, friendly and savvy as well as Joseph’s front of the house team. Joseph is detail-oriented and on spot for everyone’s need. No wonder his nickname is Maestro. I’m grateful for all teams in my kitchen over the years. It was fun teaching them and passing them my bible. I was lucky to have Shelley Murray (a.k.a. Sanchez) to transfer all of our hard work to social media and keeping our email lists fun and on point. Every business needs one strong female at that caliber. Asía helped us put the numbers in order, and no one could keep us on point better then her. And of course - I am grateful for each and every customer that came into our restaurant over the years. From the random tourists to the party buzzy brunchers to the late night romantic diners, and the well respected regulars that supported us more then anything else. Thank you all so much for all the light, laughs, and superb first chapter . It is hard now but as a real New Yorker I know that whatever doesn’t kill me makes me stronger and whatever kills me, makes my wife stronger. I love you all and be sure I’ll come back stronger and better on my next culinary journey. Meanwhile- stay strong, safe and mentally stable. We are together in this. Cheers, et à bientôt Kfir
