Jesus assures His faithful, diligent seekers saying, Look, I am coming soon! Blessed are those who obey the words of prophecy written in this book (Revelation 22:7 NLT). Then the Lord solidifies His apocalyptic decree in a duplicate memo saying, Look, I am coming soon, bringing my reward with me to repay all people according to their deeds (Revelation 22:12 NLT)! These deeds are either unfaithful, unholy works of sinful flesh, or diligent holy works of redeemed Christian faith. Then the Lord’s Spirit fervently inspires John to intercede for us all with this decree of consecration saying, May the grace of the Lord Jesus be with God’s holy people (Revelation 22:21 NLT)!!! So in the meantime, Let everything that breathes sing praises to the Lord! Praise the Lord (Psalms 150:6 NLT)!

I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me." Phil. 4:13 In his booklet entitled The Warfare of the Spirit, A. W. Tozer wrote, Anyone can do the possible; add a bit of courage and zeal and some may do the phenomenal; only Christians are obliged to do the impossible (pg. 12). It is impossible to love others as God intends for us to love without the power of His Spirit working in our lives that are consciously humbled before Him moment by moment. We can be...gin the journey of humble service unto God when we admit that we just cannot in human strength love others as we ought. There will always be a war between our innate sinful ways and the holy mind of the Spirit. But God's Spirit in us can and will enable us to love as He would have it, as we yield our hearts and lives to Him in all things. For God is love and to the measure that He is in us His love will flow out to those we come in contact with. Proverbs 9:10 NLT Fear of the Lord is the foundation of wisdom. Knowledge of the Holy One results in good judgment. To avoid being held captive by the enemy’s deceitful distractions, we need to maintain a profound holy foundation in our hearts... The Bible: God’s Holy Foundation for Our Souls... Since by the mouth of two or three witnesses every word [must] be established (2 Corinthians 13:1, KJV), let us consider a second scriptural witness Psalm 111:10 The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom; all who follow his precepts have good understanding (NIV). Both the writer of Proverbs and the psalmist speak about two wonderful qualities, which are very rare amongst men and women today the qualities of wisdom and understanding. These scriptures point out that each of these has a moral foundation. The foundation for wisdom is the fear of the Lord; the foundation for understanding is following the Lord’s knowledge and precepts. So it’s fear of the Lord, expressed in obedience, that is the key to true wisdom and true understanding. We need to observe a distinction between wisdom and understanding on the one hand, and education and cleverness on the other. There are many educated, clever people who do not have wisdom or understanding. Cleverness is a matter of the mind, but wisdom goes deeper than that. It’s possible to have high education and in many ways to be a fool. An American president once said that if a man is an uneducated thief, he may steal a railroad car, but if you educate that man he’ll steal the whole railroad! So you see, cleverness and education are no substitute for the moral foundation of wisdom and understanding which are the fear of the Lord and obedience to His precepts. God placed His precepts in the Bible. He wants all souls to benefit from prayerful, inductive attention to the truth revealed by the Holy Spirit in His Holy Word. The Spirit enables seekers of God to spiritually hear Him. When they hear Him they can make a sober, well informed decision to submit to the gracious transforming power of God to be saved from sin, and to live a Spirit enabled holy life!

In 1st and 2nd Chronicles the Spirit reveals the downward spiral of one abandoning God’s protocol of worship. The leadership of that day became idolatrous and the general consensus of the covenant citizens followed suit. Matthew 5 works as a Christ-centered summary wherein the Lord expects His disciples to be viably effective in their everyday lives. Each disciple is to lead a sanctified life of heavenly light and salt by the transforming power of God’s grace in the dark, bland secular world, leading lost souls back to God. They need to taste and see that God is good (Ps. 34:8).

The heart of I Peter 4:10 reveals that ...as faithful stewards of God’s grace in its various forms..., obedient worshippers of Christ will have His mind and heart. They will serve with holy motivation, not selfish ambition. Their love for Him will be reflected in the things [they] do. In [that] way, [their] faith and [their] actions will be inseparably linked. Only what we do in holy faith, for Christ, will last!
