What’s for lunch ? A common complaint among my clients!! Stumped on what to eat for your midday meal? Let’s discuss I am a fan of making my lunch on office days and when #wfh. Why? I control what goes in my mouth and it tastes the way I want! Also restaurants don’t have kraut Here are my lunch building blocks no matter where you get your lunch:... start with veggies > 1/2 your plate add a protein ~ 4-6oz add some fat 1-2 TBSP add a carb 1/2 cup-ish/1 slice WW bread add some texture - nuts, seeds, chips (I used @sietefoods ) free bread or creamy dressings This equation works for bowls, salads, sandwiches (I recommend open faced), soups. Bottom line sugar is sugar is sugar and we can all agree it causes inflammation, can lead to illness and health issues if not kept in check. Read below for more info! Take always: Aim for < 10% of daily calories from sugar. Men ~> 150 calories or 9 tsp... Women & children ~> 100 calories or 6 tsp Best sources: fruit! It also comes w/ vitamins, minerals, fiber and water. Sneaky sources: Check those granola, yogurt, energy bars, smoothies and coffee/matcha drinks! yes honey, dates & maple@syrup are still sugars.
