Looks like a fun dive, all within recreational dive depths. A rare wreck, as it lies 'turtled', upside down on the lake bottom

Beautiful photo of the Keystorm wreck near Chippewa Bay in the St. Lawrence River by Canadian photographer Stuart Seldon. Probably taken in Spring or late Fall judging by the water clarity

Amazing photos!
Some incredible photos of the 1000 islands bridge construction over the St Lawrence River. The belly dumper some of us have dived on, in the Canadian waters looks like one of the barges in the photos

On this day in 1966 the Daniel J. Morrell met her fate in a violent November Gale breaking the steel freighter in half in over 20ft waves. The bow went down as ...the stern motored off another 5 miles before finally sinking into 210ft. Out of the 29 crewmen only one man survived (Dennis Hale) and his story is chilling to say the least. A sad and true story of survival for over 37 hours. The wreck has become one of my favorites to visit and document in the Great Lakes. It's haunting story and seeing the bow sit upright like it's still sailing the lakes. Then to see the mangled steel and the rest of the freighter just missing gives you chills. The stern has one of the best engine rooms. I''ve worked hard over the years to bring it back to life and help share the chilling story of the Daniel J. Morrell. So many people know about the Edmond FItzgerald that sank about 9 years later but this is another tragic Great Lakes story and one that deserves to be told. There are several books out and i highly suggest "Shipwrecked" or "Sole Survivor". Thinking of those men today and honoring their memory. These are only a handful of images ive captured over the years. For more visit my gallery at www.LiquidProductions.com See more

A great story of a wreck that is accessible only to tech divers right off Wellesley Island in the St. Lawrence River, near the coast guard station.
