Renee and Amy are continuing their reading journey across the country. This week's stop: New York State. Amy read Many Points of Me by Caroline Gertler, a middle-grade novel taking place in NYC and museums there. She also read In Defiance: Runaways from Slavery in NY's Hudson Valley by Ashley Hurlburt-Biagini and Susan Stessin-Cohn. Visit an exhibition of sixth graders' portraits and poetry inspired by items in this compilation, here at the library until July 9. Renee read Heaven's Ditch: God, Gold, and Murder on the Erie Canal by Jack Kelly, who will be presenting his book at our Two Hundred Years on the Erie Canal program at 4pm, Wednesday, July 7. Copies of the book are available at the library for checkout. Email Renee at [email protected] for more info and to register. #redhookpubliclibrary #redhookny
