Rigs, running reins, draw reins, bitting devices, chambons, De Gogues, have one commonality. They all depend upon the mechanical power of leverage. The definiti...on of "leverage" in mechanical terms---"the action of a lever, a rigid bar that pivots about one point and that is used to move an object at a second point by a force applied at a third." There is no horse alive that is strong enough to resist the power of applied leverage if it is rigged in such a way as to create overwhelming force. As Archimedes said, "Give me a lever long enough and a fulcrum on which to place it, and I shall move the world." Every day, all over the world, wherever humans ride horses, there will be leverage devices, and EVERY SINGLE HUMAN who uses them will have an excuse and a righteous reason why "in this case" the use is justified. Horses heads and necks can be forced into all sorts of shapes, but watch horses run, climb, descend, jump, walk, trot, canter, gallop, and you'll see how their heads and necks are used for balance and stability. Those who have to rely (or choose to rely) on the forces of leverage to train, instead of using the longer and softer methods of persuading horses to yield to a give and take of pressure, will win plenty of ribbons, and that alone will help them justify, in their minds, the use of force---- Crank your own head into some fixed position and go run, jump and climb---See how it feels---

#drmariosoriano #drmariosorianovet #veterinario #horseengagement #quiropracticaequina #horsetraining Fuente: reeducazione posturale do cavallo.

There is only so much muscular development any skeletal frame can pack on, no matter how much feed and correct body building work a horse may receive. Tense her...e came off the race track after 34 starts with that "burned away" absence of muscle mass that we so often associate with distance runners. It takes a long time to first just rebuild the overall health of a drawn down horse. Then, for what seems another forever, the horse basically holds its own, not thin, but not really strongly developed, either. But if the work is building work, rather than eroding work, little by little the topline appears, the crest gets bigger and harder, and the horse literally changes shape. But that weight lifting work is not widely understood by many riders who have not been immersed in such dressage basics as engagement and the development of self carriage. To understand the reality of this statement, try this--- Take a group of young riders, and ask them to explain in detail the concept of engagement, and, while you are at it, ask them to explain in some detail the dressage training scale. See how many know about concepts that are right there under their noses on Google---I doubt you will find many who have subjected themselves to the rigors of studying the more technical details. Studying and being open to learning is harder work than many are willing to do. I think it really is that simple. Which is one of the reasons that horses which come off the track tight and lean never gain the development which a more well educated trainer can install. https://www.pedigreequery.com/tense

Try this version of the leg-yield from Simon Cocozza's Core Conditioning for Horses. By performing it in a long-and-low frame the horse learns to be supple, l...oose, and aligned through the spine; increase his range of motion throughout his core; deepen his body balance; tune in to your inside leg; and coordinate the limbs. It helps solve issues like: stiff through the legs; nonresponsive to the inside leg aid; poor lateral work; heavy contact; tight neck; stiff back; and poor coordination. You can amplify the suppling effect by putting the hindquarters a touch ahead of the horse's shoulders so they lead very slightly across the arena. by P. Putting up another batch of Japanese knotweed tincture for the horses for treating Lyme and Bartonella... it’s a beautiful thing!
