This video shows part of the execution of a massive mural painting by Maestro d'arte Francesco Santoro. In this part depicting the Crucifixion and the way to the cross, we wanted to share few moments in the Master's studio during the creation process. We'll keep sharing parts of this great challenge, as the final measurements of this mural project are: 16 x 16 meters (2.755 sq. f).

Conferenza tenuta dal Maestro Francesco Santoro su Cezanne lo scorso 20 Giugno: ..."C’è in ogni scelta, in ogni movimento della mano di Cezanne un’interrogazione costante e preoccupante di rispondersi alla crisi o alla domanda: Ma poi è necessario dipingere? E cosa devo dipingere? E in quale modo? Siamo nel 1870 e si trova in un villaggio che si chiama Lestac vicino a Marcella, soprattutto si domanda quale è la visione della pittura adesso che tutto sta cambiando. Questa do...manda che si pone Cezanne non è una domanda diretta a ciò che possiamo vedere insieme, ma in realtà è quella della messa in crisi della pittura. Si sente parlare d’impressionismo, si sente parlare della crisi del 19mo secolo. Cosa è successo perché entro tutto cosi drammaticamente in crisi e fa pensare alla pittura come qualcosa di morto, che cessa di esistere, una espressione bidimensionale deputata a rappresentare la realtà."
