Hi Everyone, We are very thankful for all of the thoughtful comments left behind, and are very sincere. We appologize that we will not be able to take reservations via facebook, as there isn't a person designated to keep an eye at all times and give you confirmation. We wouldn't want to miss anybody and disappoint.... Please call the restaurant at 516-883-3500 (the same number as before) to speak to someone who can take a reservation. The time has come! This is an official announcement. (Clean photos to come in a couple days) All inspections have passed and it has been decided we will be open for regular business starting Tuesday, August 18, 2015. On behalf of Mr. and Mrs. Yamaguchi and the Restaurant Yamaguchi staff, we would like to deeply thank all of you for waiting nearly two and a half years for this day. The loyalty and love is most definitely unprecedented and we are so thankful for the support.... By all means, we would like to see each and every one of you as soon as possible, but because of all of the fans, friends and family, it will be extremely busy, so please call ahead and make reservations. We wouldn't want anything more than to accommodate you, your friends and family comfortably. Again, with everybody's supporting words, we were able to work hard to bring this day to a reality. Thank you so much!

Lights...TVs...Mrs. Yamaguchi...ACTION!!! Counters and shelves are hand crafted using bamboo plywood giving it a touch of the orient and being eco-friendly...as bamboo grows much quicker than trees, making bamboo forests easier to replace (bamboo also regrows after cutting where trees die). Construction is going smoothly. We've started to install all of the kitchen appliances and equipment. We are getting ever closer to reopening the restaurant after 2 long years.

Hi everyone! Yesterday, 3/14, marks 2 years since the devastating fire on Main Street. It has been a very long ride, but with hope, patience, and hard work, we finally see the light at the end of the tunnel. The restaurant is estimated to be completed before May. Hello everybody and Happy New Year! Construction had slowed down a little bit due to the holidays, weather, and the building department inspection of the new sub-floor sewage piping. On the bright side, the foundation work amd the rest of the walls should be up by the end of the week. Please enjoy some of the new photos of the progress of the work being done.
