This lovely patient saw me with concerns about her neckline/lower face and jawline. She was not ready for surgical intervention at this time but wanted to try a non-surgical route to improve and rejuvenate this area. Filler to the jawline and chin can be a powerful tool not only to rejuvenate these areas, but also to give the appearance of a tighter and more crisp neckline. As we age, not only does the skin lose collagen and elastin, but also undergoes bone loss. All t...hese combined can lead to a weak jawline, droopy chin and loose hanging skin. After discussion with Dr. Rhee, our patient opted to undergo a multi-stage procedure. Her first stage was to treat the loose neck skin and wrinkles with a hyper-dilute calcium hydroxyapatite filler, called Radiesse, which has shown to bio-stimulate the production of your own collagen and elastin. Bio-stimulation process can take 3 months to see full benefit of skin improvement. The second stage was to create a more defined and crisp jawline and to give the illusion of a more sharp neckline.
