When the cold/sun cycle is just right, the snow on the barn roofs holds together even as it slides off.... the curl can get surprisingly long.

Hanford Mills Museum managed to involve four generations of the family in this one photo! (two Riches who are in it, Wally who sent it, and Kevin who explained it). And since the fella who's sharing it here is Kevin's dad, that makes five generations in a row. A royal flush!

'Tis the season.

Eleanor and Kevin worked hard to finish the new pen for the laying hens this week. It's triple the size of the old pen, and they sure seem to like it.

Now that these pullets (younger hens) have started laying, we have an abundance of the smaller pullet eggs. They'll be available for sale at the Hobart Farmer's Market tonight from 4-7 (Hobart Rotary stand). They'll also be available for the next few weeks at the Rich Farm egg stand (County Route 18, between Hobart and South Kortright). Snap them up while you can!
