Our entire NY National Guard family grieves the loss of three Soldiers this week from our Rochester flight facility. Killed in the January 20 crash of a UH-60 B...lack Hawk were Chief Warrant Officer 5 Steven Skoda, Chief Warrant Officer 4 Christian Koch and Chief Warrant Officer 2 Daniel Prial. These Soldiers were a part of our National Guard family and we mourn their loss, alongside their family members and loved ones. The New York National Guard will be there for these family members as they navigate these trying times. Our chaplains and casualty assistance officers will be with them whenever needed. Our service members wish to extend their heartfelt thanks to the members of law enforcement, first responders, and the community at large for their support and sympathy during this trying time.

Happy Thanksgiving! This year has been a tough one but today, among others, we're thankful for the health and strength of our community and organization. We hope today you enjoy the holiday and take time to appreciate one another.... As always, a huge thanks to our on duty groups (4 days, 1 nights) for being at work keeping everyone safe.

We have some extraordinary employees that exemplify public service working for our organization. Firefighter Wilder and the crew from 254 finished hanging Christmas lights tonight after the home owner fell off their ladder while attempting to hang them themselves. We wish the homeowner a speedy recovery and offer well wishes! We're glad we could help you in more than one way!

The Ridge Road Fire District announces the retirement of our Assistant Chief Jamie Cary, a 32 year veteran of the organization.

Last night's swearing in ceremony of Lt. Mitch Ritchie and BC McGarry. We would like to wish them both luck in their new roles in the RRFD.

Happy Veteran's Day to the men and women who have served or continue serving our country. Our organization is proud that nearly a third of our workforce have served in some capacity in a branch of United States military with several still active in their roles. Thank you.
