Engineers of Color Creating Opportunities (ECCO) is devoted to increasing the number of underrepresented African American, Latino American, and Native American (AALANA) students in the KGCOE. ECCO supports successful graduation rates, provides networking opportunities, and helps students prepare for leadership roles within the engineering profession. Another look at the installation of Micatu, Inc.'s Gridview optical sensors. These sensors were donated to RIT for a new campus learning lab by Micatu's CEO and KGCOE alumnus, Michael Oshetski. The equipment allows faculty and students to monitor renewable integration and manage the addition of distributed energy resources onto the campus microgrid.

Congratulations to Dr. Sahin, who will lead the electrical and microelectonic engineering department, and Dr. Ganguly, who will direct the computer engineering department, effective July 1, 2020.

Dr. Steven Weinstein, head of the Department of Chemical Engineering, and Dr. Nathaniel Barlow, associate professor in the School of Mathematical Sciences, worked together to create a model that allows epidemiologists to quickly forecast many different scenarios of how COVID-19 could spread, based on a variety of variables.
