This is a belt grinder that was started by someone I never knew, but wished I had, Timmy Brown. It's name is Supafine! I used what he had started, added a bit, modified a bit, and a little help from my friends. Teo for the sexy welding action shot.

Got given an old ferriers rasp. What to do? Make a chefs knife. The only problem was it broke, so it's just a bit smaller and will be a half tang now. The extra peice has become a scraper. Now to get a handle on it...

The things you find in old houses... This is original lath from an 1860 farmhouse that the bathroom is getting redone. This was cheap pine cut thin, then hacked with a hatchet, most likely, and put on the wall. The gaps hold the horse hair plaster. Almost 160 years old, completely organic and natural, and still flat and intact. They don't make 'em like they used to. Though this will be insulated and new drywall, I do plaster repair and restoration.

This is a residential plumbing system that was cobbled together over decades. There were 4 different kinds of pipe, and almost half of all the joints were leaking. All new copper I designed to be intuitive and expandable. I prefer using all copper because nothing will happen to them other than turning green. Sweating (soldering) requires skill to have it come out clean and not leak, but it will last 100+ years. I take pride in designing and building efficient, trouble free systems.
