Environmentals! So many don’t do this. Let them work through the stress and realize they didn’t die! It’s such an amazing confidence builder. So important to build a sound dog physically and mentally. They can handle it - when we baby them and don’t allow them to be uncomfortable we create weak dogs. Honor these magnificent creatures instead of crippling them !

Trying to beat the heat !

When your dog is uncomfortable, afraid, anxious etc they revert to their canine instincts. Fight, flight or freeze. When we baby them, do nothing to help them ...get over it, or just avoid everything they don’t like it’s not fair to the dog. It’s our responsibility to help them through it. To let them face it and learn they didn’t die, and to trust their leader ! The most common fears I see for most dogs are fear of fireworks, thunder and other loud noises. We can’t control what the world is doing but we can train our dogs to conquer their fears. Show them how to relax and how to trust. It’s a process and it’s how you live with your dog everyday ! If you love them, help them by showing them the right way it’s ok.
