For those who have bought dormant trees from me, most were for bonsai, please send me a message. I've been doing more research on dormancy in woody trees and have information you will want. You're tree is healthy and alive, but I want to make sure you can break its dormancy! I've been trying to break dormancy on a couple I have and I now have a plan of action that will take a few months! Please reach out to me!

The Role of Mycorrhizal Symbiosis in the Health of Giant Redwoods and Other ... I'm always looking to find ways to enhance the health of the trees I am growing. The mycorrhiza has always been of great interest to me as it's a symbiotic relationship encouraged and discouraged by the trees under certain conditions. The problem is identifying the correct Fungi to inoculate the different trees. So I've been looking for studies of the specific species I grow to find the innoculant...s sold commercially that have the Fungi I need. Trees are generally arbuscular mycorrhizae. I'm listening to a talk by a professor now but also ran across this and thought it was specific enough to be worth sharing. Honestly the whole topic is fascinating if you're interested in plant biology, definitely watch or listen to some videos on it

Quite a few of you are gardener types looking to get maximum healthy results. Have any of you ever used this product before? I have not, but I purchased a few items (propagation trays and rootbuilder kits) to test out. I watched a video of the inventor (a biologist, I think?) explaining the science and showing the results. Looked very interesting. I'll share the video I watched with him in the comments. There are plenty of reviews on youtube of the pots also. ... https://myrootmaker.com/

So me, Facebook direct purchases and shipping started off a bit clunky. But ultimately it has went well, I sent out the first shipment of 5 Dawns plus a Sequoia today and am extremely confident they would survive if a nuke went off over it. I'll be shipping a 24" Dawn and Sequoia tomorrow. With that said if anyone who has come here and has purchased from me previously knows anyone who might be interested, this is the link to the 4 packages Im currently selling. If someone ...you refer buys one of the four packages I'll give you a free Paulownia Catalpifolia, Paulownia Elongata, Tamarack or Japanese Katsura seedling in the spring. I'll hold it and care for it until you come to pick it up. The goal of all these sales is to expand my equipment and container capabilities organically. Though I'll probably have an ad up in some fashion consistently going forward as I try to build an audience. I want to stay small but build an inventory of larger, unique trees. Thanks to anyone who refers me. Its so very much appreciated! Ps. I do have larger dawns. 24" - 44" base to crown. I'm willing to sell a few of those only right now. But PM me if interested!

Been getting busy. But I hope to have more time to commit to this page everyone. For now, here is a picture of some beautiful Dawn redwoods in the backyard of a person I gave some advice to. Such a unique look. I wish I could have gotten a before and after. Or even better a summer, mid fall and fully dropped set.

I have the artistic talent of a three year old (as many of you have seen in my back yard ) but I do love watching a master work. Herons Bonsai is so far my favorite, I love his attitude and his down to earth realistic take on the subject. This was released today and its great. He has a very good understanding of the plant and almost everything he says I have found to be true. The only exception being the scorching from the sun, maybe it's just in how I maintain mine, but I have not observed this in any of the trees I have. They seem to take any light you put on them and greedily grow to take it all in. A very minor difference, miniscule.
