Well done Mike and Mary Ellen!

Phase 2 of our new stone revetment wall. Took over a year to navigate the permit process through DEC, Army Corps and the Town of Irondequoit. 30 tons of stone individually placed along 40 feet of our shorline. Huge thanks to Alex Wirth and Mark Weider who were instrumental getting this project to where we could actually start construction. More to do but we are well on our way to complete this in early spring.

Final day of the Fall Sunfish Series. Shifting North East to South East winds on a glorious Fall day on Irondequoit Bay. Fall Frostbiting up next for these sailors!

The Don VanVechten Memorial Sunfish Regatta was held July 11th. 33 boats on the line in pretty good morning conditions for Irondequoit Bay. The Thermal filled in way earlier than expected and we managed to get 4 races in before heading to shore due to storm cells. After a brief wait they headed back out only to have the weather force the race committee to call the day Congratulations to Mike Ingham and Doug Kaukeinen who tied for points w/ MIke receiving the award as the overall winner. Super excited to see so many boats take part. Thanks to all the out of town sailors that made the trip. We greatly appreciated their participation

Chris Connelly and I were down to the club Sunday. Bruce visited us on his atv.and commented that the water was higher at this time than it is "normally" I know a few of us have been brainstorming to be offensive minded in keeping the water from disrupting our season. Stay tuned

Looks like UFD caught a lot of folks off guard in the first race including our own Mike Fortner! Hope things go better today.
