Hello all, We want to keep you updated with what's going on at Rochester Optical during COVID-19. At this time, we are still open and still working hard to provide our customers' eyecare needs. That being said, the health and safety of our customers and our staff is our top priority. We have encouraged employees to please stay home and safe if they are not feeling well. If employees can work from home, we encourage them to do so. We have put in extra cleaning procedures, su...ch as wiping down machinery, stations, work areas before and after use, as well as wearing gloves at all times. We have limited our working hours so that we can deep clean every evening. We are pushing harder to ensure all employees are washing hands frequently and we have even rearranged our facilities so that employees may work while placed a safe distance from fellow workers. We are constantly checking in and monitoring advice from our own Monroe County Health advisors as well as the CDC and local hospitals. We are taking every precaution we can at RO, and we want to ensure you that we are doing the best that we can. Thank you!

Our very own Training and Project Manager, Doreen Gaede, is committed to continuing education to help others maintain their Ophthalmic Dispenser's License. She has presented several courses with New York State Society of Opticians, Inc. for the past few months, and has another course this coming weekend titled, "Profitability with Out of Network Patients (Business Management)." Hello all! We'd like to introduce you to Tom Gardner, one of our newest members to the Optical Sales Specialist team! Tom is a joy to be around; always friendly and welcoming with a smile. He is from Louisville, Kentucky and has worked within the optical industry his entire life! He's proud to be a 2nd generation optical, actively working for the past 38 years. Hey again! Today we'd like to introduce you to Joe Farina! Joe has been an optical sales specialist with Rochester Optical for a little over three years now, and has been in the Optical Industry in Wholesale, Retail, Ophthalmology, Laser Surgery, and Optometry for over 30 years! He enjoys outdoor activities, swimming, fishing, cooking, movies, reading, and going to the gym, and this active personality shows in his work at RO. His favorite thing about working at Rochester Optical are the pleasant, diligent, and efficient employees! Thanks for your optimism and support, Joe!

This week we have our sales team visiting for more training to ensure they are the most knowledgable in the field! We'd like to introduce you to them, the sales reps that are always working hard to provide the best customer experience for you! This is Roger Awe! Roger has been with Rochester Optical for several years, as well as the optical industry. He is an all-hands-on-deck team member and is always working. Not only does he work in sales, but he is also a licensed optician and loves to get more involved whether it's helping in customer service, working in the lab, or being out in the field! Roger is such a joy to be around and is a dedicated member that we are proud to have on our team. Thank you Roger for your dedication and hard work!
