Join us for the 2021 SCI Health Fair. All online!
We've posted all of the videos from the 2021 SCI Health Fair on YouTube. Here are Jeanne Zanca, PhD and Trevor Dyson-Hudson, MD discussing pain management for people living with spinal cord injuries.
SCI Health Fair is this Saturday, May 22nd, from 10am to 4pm. Let us know you want to attend by sending an email to [email protected]. The event is free and will have a lot of great information for people with SCI, family members, students, and professionals.
Thank you to everyone that participated in last night's "Spring Grape & Music Escape Fundraiser!!" Also, thank you to all of the volunteer board members that made the event possible and to Nicole McLean from Via Girasole Wine Bar for sharing her expertise. Thanks to everyone's efforts, we were able to raise over $1,800 to support RSA's mission of improving the quality of life of people living with spinal cord injuries in our region!
Another one of our members has selected RSA to benefit from her birthday fundraiser! Thank you, Donna!
Here's another great way to support RSA! Thanks, Michelle, for devoting your birthday fundraising to helping people with spinal cord injuries live better lives.
Governor Cuomo's proposed budget eliminates funding for the NYS Spinal Cord Injury Research Project. Our friends at the United Spinal Association have prepared this action alert so you can easily send a message to your representatives, asking them to restore the funding! Please take action. https://www.votervoice.net/UnitedSp/campaigns/80679/respond

A few weeks ago we let you know that we had been selected to receive a Covid-19 relief grant through the Christopher & Dana Reeve Foundation to help people with SCI overcome isolation during the pandemic. You can see the details of the grant and programs to be offered here: https://www.rochesterspinalassociation.org/rsa-receives-ree We hope to hear from you and get you connected!
Happy Groundhog's Day! Let's be honest, there will be six more weeks of winter. How about some good news though? RSA has completed our first ever fundraising campaign and we raised over $19,000! A huge thank you goes out to everyone who donated, whether it was $10 or $1000. We'd like to take a moment to thank our business sponsors: Mission Health & Home, Innovative, Bonadio Group, Five Star Bank, Faraci & Lange, and Canandaigua National Bank & Trust. ... RSA is working hard every day to improve the quality of life of people living with spinal cord injuries / disabilities in our region. We couldn't do it without you!
This is great news about our fundraising efforts on Facebook. Thanks everyone for your support! RSA's annual campaign continues and it's not to late to contribute on our website at www.rochesterspinalassociation.org.
RSA is currently conducting a fundraising campaign. Our Executive Director, Chris Hilderbrant is turning 40-something this Saturday and is devoting his birthday fundraising to RSA's mission of improving the quality of life for people living with spinal cord injuries/disabilities. Please consider supporting Chris and RSA in this campaign. All donations are matched dollar-for-dollar by our board of directors!
Here is some interesting news in research into blood pressure management.
Belated Happy Thanksgiving to you all! We're thankful for the opportunity to improve the quality of life of people living with spinal cord injuries/disabilities in the greater Rochester area. We're also thankful for the people that make that possible! RSA is currently conducting its first ever end of year campaign. If you can give, or can encourage others to give, please visit our website at www.RochesterSpinalAssociation.org and click on the orange "Donate" button. Thank you!
Looks like some exciting stuff to check out from the comfort of your couch!
RSA joins the community in mourning the loss of Travis Roy. Travis and his family were strong supporters of RSA in the past, having held multiple fundraisers in support our programs and the people we support. He leaves a powerful legacy of advocacy and accomplishments on behalf of people with spinal cord injuries. Thank you, Travis. Rest in Peace.
