Jazmine Outlaw joined the Rockaway Youth Task Force as a youth member in high school after being invited to a new members orientation by a friend. Jazmine's incredible passion for her community and social justice led her to join staff, serving as our Director of Organizing. Jazmine has worked to build powerful infrastructure that collectively supports our work, including the Rockaway Youth Task Force Urban Farm & the development of our Community Organizing and Resistance Education program. Jazmine has also previously served as the President of the 101st Precinct Council, making her the youngest in New York City history. Please join us in welcoming Jazmine into her new role!

We couldn’t be prouder to congratulate our new Assemblymember Khaleel Anderson! Anderson is a familiar face in the community. He served on Community Board 14 and worked with a local and visible youth group, the Rockaway Youth Task Force. He became an activist as a teenager after Hurricane Sandy, when he fought for better access to healthy foods on the storm-battered peninsula. Anderson, who graduated from Queens College with Bachelors and Masters degrees, said his experience with the Rockaway Youth Task Force will be valuable as he begins working in the New York Legislature.
